Enjoy a pickup from your hotel or apartment in Kigali early in the morning and travel in a 4x4 vehicle to Volcanoes National Park, near Musanze. Upon arrival at the RDB office in Kinigi, meet your English or French-speaking driver/guide and attend a short briefing on the hike and the park’s volcanic landscape. Take in views of misty mountain slopes, rich farmland, and the Virunga volcanoes rising above the surrounding countryside.
Start the day by setting off on the trail toward the summit of Mount Bisoke, one of the volcanoes in the park’s range, standing at 3,711 meters. Climb through farmland, bamboo, and dense montane forest, with your guide pointing out plants, birds, and signs of wildlife along the way. Stop at your leisure to catch your breath, take photos, and learn about the volcano and the conservation efforts that protect this unique habitat.
After the climb to the top, take in the spectacular crater lake at the summit, one of the most memorable sights in Rwanda. Enjoy the panoramic views, take your final photos, and then make your way back down the trail with your guide.
Once you’ve said farewell to the park, relax on the scenic drive back to Kigali. Your driver/guide will drop you at your hotel or the airport, as long as your flight is on the same day the tour ends.

Mt Bisoke Hike Itinerary
Early morning, you will be picked from your hotel to Musanze( RDB Kinigi) in volcanoes National park for one day to see a magical crater lake at the top of the Mount Bisoke. After your hiking experience you are transferred back to your Hotel.
