Day 1: Departure From Kigali To Nyungwe Forest National Park

Breakfast early in the morning at your favorite hotel in Kigali, you will be picked by one of our driver guide who will take you through briefing about your entire tour. Thereafter, set off to Nyungwe Forest National Park about 268 kilometers which is approximately six hours past stunning landscapes of the southern Rwanda and Butare prior proceeding to the park. On arrival, you will have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking In The Morning And Nyungwe Forest Canopy Walk

Following breakfast, you will join other visitors at the park headquarters for briefing at 8:00am by park official on how you are supposed to behave in the jungle. Besides chimpanzees, Nyungwe Forest National Park also offers refuge to variety of wildlife including birds, butterflies, mammals and other primate species. Chimpanzee trekking at this park usually takes about 2 to 5 hours and only an hour is given to you to have a face to face encounter with these fascinating primates, explore their behavior. After, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Day 3: Transfer Back To Kigali

Breakfast in the morning and thereafter, drive back to Kigali approximately six hours’ drive. Have a stopover at Butare south of Rwanda to explore the ethnographic museum that features as the largest museum in Rwanda comprising of more than 100000 artifacts which entail more about the traditions and history of Rwanda. Later, set off to Nyanza palace that is a royal home to the 2 kings of Rwanda-King Musinga and his successor King Rudahigwa. After your exploration, return to Kigali capital and this will mark the end of your 3 day safari in Nyungwe Forest National Park.
